PIANO STUDIO of DR. DZMITRY ULASIUK

Concert pianist Dzmitry Ulasiuk has opened a studio for teaching lessons in the Plano, Texas area. He was taught piano in the European style, which emphasizes performance, technique, and musicianship. Highlights of his teaching experience and qualifications are:

  • DMA in Piano Performance, minor in Piano Pedagogy, Teaching Fellow

  • Assistant Professor of Piano, Belarus State Academy of Music

  • Private lessons as well as Master Classes given

  • Judging - International Liszt Competition, International Keyboard Odyssiad & Festival, North Texas Piano Competition, Steinway Junior Piano Competition of Dallas, XIV Sonatina and Sonata International Youth Piano Competition, Corpus Christi MTA Student Affiliate Preparatory Piano Performance Contest

Dr. Ulasiuk’s goals for THE students are to:

  • build independence and confidence in future student piano performance;   

  • learn how to practice properly to prevent physical injuries;

  • develop a creative imagination for music mixed with other fine arts and performing arts;

  • develop listening skills while playing and performing;

  • practice daily and develop technical skills necessary to perform;

  • learn music theory in order to develop musicality and a deeper understanding of the structure, mood, and purpose of the music;

  • enjoy performing without stage fright

Recitals are given once a year for full studio; smaller mini-recitals for select students and their parents twice a year. Students are encouraged to enter competitions to grow musically, expand their repertoire, and sharpen their performance skills.

There are limited lesson times available for students of any age or ability to study with Dr. Dzmitry Ulasiuk, a concert pianist who has extraordinary teaching skills as well as performing abilities. Suggested length of weekly lesson for good progress to achieve student goals:   Beginner – 30 min; Intermediate – 45 min; Advanced – 60 min. Missed lessons, for whatever reason, will be made up, not canceled.
